Saskatoon Pilates Centre was the original Pilates studio in Saskatchewan. We have been in operation for over 25 years. The center is a proud member of the Pilates Method Alliance. The PMA (R) is the international, not-for-profit, professional association that oversees certification and continuing education standards for Pilates professionals. All of our Saskatoon Pilates studio instructors hold internationally recognized certification.
In 2023, we relocated to a new facility in downtown Saskatoon where we now enjoy a large Pilates equipment studio and a large open class studio. There are 2 gender neutral washrooms, client waiting area and a beautiful sunlit foyer. Saskatoon Pilates is an inviting place of warmth, nurturing, and healing.
All of our Pilates instructors hold certification from Saskatoon Pilates Centre, Pilates Core integration, Balanced Body, and the Physicalmind Institute, of New York and Canada. Their goal is to provide students and clients with the best knowledge and experience possible.
Kathy Bond
Owner/Director
Our history is one we are proud of! Saskatoon Pilates Centre is a boutique Pilates studio and was the first Pilates studio in Saskatchewan. Now in operation for 25 years, we are still a studio that cares for the individual. From a home-based business we have expanded and moved 3 times during those years and are now working out of our dedicated Pilates studio in downtown Saskatoon.
Kathy Bond, Owner and Director was the first Pilates teacher in Saskatchewan and taught in both Saskatoon and Regina to spread the word about Pilates and how it could help people. In 2012 we added TRX classes and in 2015 we started offering Fascia Release and Essentrics in 2022.
As the studio, in Saskatoon, grew Kathy needed to have more teachers and so began the Teacher Training programs.
All our studio instructors hold internationally recognized certification and do continuing education to assist our clients on their paths to healthy and functional movement. Helping to educate our clients is a primary focus for us and we host workshops with International teachers and experts that are open to all.
From providing excellent professional teachers, a first-rate training center and classes that are geared to the different levels of fitness, we strive to provide a classical studio with a contemporary approach. Keeping true to Joseph Pilates repertoire and principles, we modify each of the exercises if needed to assist our clients the get the most benefit of the work.
We keep our classes small to ensure that each person gets that individual attention and can leave the studio feeling better, stronger and more knowledgeable than when they arrived. We also like them to enjoy coming to class and working with their classmates. Community is important!
The studio continues to provide the quality of teachers, classes and principles that make doing Pilates joyful and rewarding.
